  • CREWE MIDFIELDER LINKED WITH CARDIFF CITY

    Welsh football giants Cardiff City are expected to be busy in the transfer window this summer with a lot of incomings and outgoings expected at the English Championship outfit. Cardiff City have already struck early with the signing of experienced Republic of Ireland international James Collins and they have also been linked with a move for Crewe Alexandra midfielder Ryan Wintle this summer.

    Wintle, 23, will be a free agent in the coming weeks as his contract with League One club Crewe Alexandra runs out this summer. He has been strongly linked with a move to the English Championship with Cardiff City as confirmed by media portal Football Insider. It was revealed that the player has already rejected the offer to sign an extension with Crewe. To this effect, his future at the club is in serious doubts.

  • CREWE TARGETING RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

    Crewe Alexandra manager says the target for his team is to finish as high as possible on the league table. According to him, his players have five important games to play between now and the rest of the season.

    Promotion playoff is not achievable for Crewe Alexandra even if it’s still mathematically possible. To this effect, Artell want to learn more about his players in the final five games of the English League One this season.

  • ALEXANDRA BOSS BEMOANS HUGE LOSS TO RIVALS GILLINGHAM

    Crewe Alexandra headed into their fixture against Gilling ham on Tuesday night while they were on a 10-game unbeaten run. However, the result at the end of the match was one no one saw coming, not even the Alexandra players or their boss.


    Crewe had their worst opening 45 minutes of the current campaign in the first half of the match as they went into the interval trailing 3-0 already. They would go on to lose the match with a scoreline of 4-1 as they got severely punished for their dismal showing in the opening 45 minutes of the match. (more…)

  • CREWE ALEXANDRAEND POOR RUN

     

    Crewe Alexandra have ended their recent poor run of results following the 4-2 win over Swindon Town in a matchday 15 clash in League One, the third tier of league football in England. Crewe Alexandra edged the six-goal thriller with Swindon Town at home on Tuesday night. Until the match with Swindon Town at Gresty Road, Crewe Alexandra had lost their last three games in all competitions.


    The League One club Crewe Alexandra had won the last two games before the recent run of three successive defeats. The run of defeats started with the 4-1 loss at Portsmouth in the league before making it two consecutive defeats with the 1-0 loss at Accrington Stanley. The third defeat in quick succession came during the FA Cup second roundclashat League Two club Cheltenham Town who are second in their division. Crewe Alexandra were beaten 2-1 at hosts Cheltenham Town as they were knocked out of the competition. Cheltenham Town will host Mansfield Town in the third round of the FA Cup. (more…)

  • CREWE ALEX TO KEEP PORTER

     

    English third-tier side Crewe Alexandra are hopeful of retaining their top scorer Chris Porter beyond the summer. The 36-year old was offer a cautious deal of a year following talks of extension but the forward turned it down instantly, per reports. The initial three-year deal ran down, but the club is keen on retaining him based on his performance.


    Porter has showed desire to remain at the club,but he insists that the terms must be appealing. This is a player that has options and is keen on a final good deal before retirement calls.He confirmed that the club offered him a deal, but nothing has been agreed yet. He says he expects more offers in the following weeks as most leagues and divisions round up the 2019/20 season.

  • STERLING OPEN TO REAL MADRID MOVE

    With reports of Manchester City’s ban from the UEFA Champions league flying around, reports that an exodus like the one witnessed during the Scudetti scandal of Juventus might happen in the blue side of Manchester is now making waves and Raheem Sterling is one of the first place not afraid to jump ship as quickly as possible with Real Madrid being the likely destination.

    Real Madrid can only hope making a move for Sterling wouldn’t turn out to be as fruitless as the one Manchester United made with Nick Powell, when Ferguson convinced him to leave Crew Alexandra for a theatre of dreams that soon became a theater of nightmares.
