Crewe Alexandra has some injury issues ahead of their game against Grimsby Town on Saturday.

Indeed they will be missing a couple of players such as Eddie Nolan and Chris Porter. The manager said that the players would be facing a late fitness test to find out whether they can play in the game against Grimsby.

The Crewe Alexandra coach David Artell said that Chris Porter is a major doubt for the match as he has picked out some knocks in the previous game. The manager said that this is the reason why he did not play against Newcastle Under-21 team as he did not want the player to aggravate his injuries. He said that the medical team would assess him before the game to find out whether there is any risk in playing him.

On the other hand, Eddie Nolan played in the match against Newcastle despite having an injury, and David Artell said that this time they would have to assess him carefully. He said that the match against Grimsby Town would be a physical one and it is important that the players are at their peak in this game.

Another player that may be in doubt for the Saturday game is Perry Ng. Like Chris Porter, Perry has picked up a knock in his knee and will have to face a fitness test before being able to participate in the match.

David Artell has also announced some loan deals that will bring some new faces in the team. He has signed Conor Grant from Everton on a loan deal that will see the player remain with the club until the end of January. He said that this will provide him with some quality and depth in the center of the field and that he is looking for some more players to join in before the end of the transfer window.
